About the event
About Daan Utsav: It is a week-long festival celebrating philanthropy. It takes place from October 2 to 8 when people, individually or collectively, do an act of giving - could be donating their money, time or goods. Last year 60,00,000+ Indians across the country participated.
Daan Utsav is NOT an NGO or organisation. It is a movement. It has no employees and all activities are driven by passionate and committed volunteers who are keen to spread the message of giving. Anyone can be a volunteer and can do any giving activity in their home, community or office.
This is its 10th year and it has become the biggest platform for philanthropy across India with many NGOs, corporates, schools, colleges and urban and rural communities participating.
