Bengaluru Fantastic

Updated: May 28, 2024

DATE: Dec 2017

PARTNERS: 42 government, corporate, academic, local & international cultural institutions & Jaaga.

COMMUNITY: Metro train station’s daily commuters and the general public.

This international festival explored two main worlds. The hyper-real techno culture that we inhabit - the contemporary sub-culture of youth steeped in social media, gaming, internet & AI, and the inherited world of customs, cultural beliefs, and heritage of the participants.

Bengaluru Fantastic is a public-focused festival produced by Jaaga.in. It brings together leaders across the cultural, tech and research sectors for three days of diverse programming and public art experiences. Through commissions, talks, workshops, and dialogue-based interactions in Bangalore’s public spaces, we’ll dream of a radical, open, optimistic future together that leverages the best of participatory art and tech practices using the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as our primary filter.

We believe in a future positive world, where Art is Beyond Object Body is Archive City is Museum & Practice is Dialogue
