Challenges

The Green Revolution
For this challenge, we had invited the fellows to bring their final projects to life through the powerful mediums of either a short film or a graphic novel. Sanjita’s graphic novel Robtical 2075,presents a world where education shifts from restrictive to liberating. By embracing nature, students learn through direct experiences, fostering harmony between tech and environment. The natural world becomes the ultimate teacher, cultivating empathy, wisdom, and sustainability.

For challenge 9, the fellows presented a pitch deck of their visual narratives. These narratives, set in 2050, address a conflict in an ideal future and its resolution. The pitch will serve as a storyboard for the final project, presented as either a short film or graphic novel. Sanjita’s project presents a vision of 2050 where the consumer is the protector. People start caring for the environment and become protectors of the planet.

Challenge 8 was a fun exercise in which the fellows generated interactive AI personas using the Gooey.AI copilot tool. Sanjita created a bot who has done groundbreaking work in developing a forward-thinking education system. By focusing on sustainability and protection, their initiative could significantly benefit future generations and the world at large

For this challenge, we wanted the fellows to create supporting characters that would inhabit their envisioned future world. Sanjita created the supporting character of Dr. Aniruddha Sengupta, is a 45-year-old scientist . He is currently developing a robot designed to enhance women's safety, and the project is nearing completion.

Fellows developed characters who would live in their imagined future worlds. Sanjita created the character of Aisha, a survivor of a horrific assault, who transformed her traumatic experience into a groundbreaking innovation. She created Shield AI, a revolutionary AI-powered wearable device designed to detect potential threats and ensure user safety.

For this challenge, we wanted fellows to continue building on their explored futures, focusing on world building. We wanted them to visualise it as the opening scene of a sci-fi film, where the focus is on the setting rather than the characters. 5 to 6 frames were created using Gooey's Animation Generator in draft mode (2 FPS). Sanjita presents a beautiful shot of a city skyline with images of skyscrapers. Birds are visible in the sky and an orange hue paints the scene ethereal.

For this challenge, we had asked the fellows to illustrate their peers’ predictions for the future. Sanjita’s illustrated prediction highlights a bleak future for Earth over the next 25 years due to environmental destruction. It warns of biodiversity loss, climate disasters, pollution, and health crises caused by human actions. Artificial solutions may replace natural systems, but won't prevent widespread harm. Urgent action is needed to prevent irreversible damage.

We asked the fellows to explore what the future would look like. We also asked them to forecast a series of predictions for the next few years, with a timeline of no more than 25 years ahead. Sanjita made the following predictions about the future. In the next 25 years, our planet's future appears grim. Birds' songs will fade, and animals will vanish from our roads. Deforestation will trigger more storms, while climate change will bring far-reaching consequences. Evergreen plants will be replaced by artificial ones, and many animals will become extinct due to rising temperatures. Agriculture will depend on artificial methods, and clean air will be scarce in cities. New diseases will emerge, weakening human immunity, while future generations will suffer physical and cognitive impairments. The effects will be catastrophic, with melting glaciers causing destructive floods. Immediate action is crucial.
