It is a week-long festival celebrating philanthropy. It takes place from October 2 to 8 when people, individually or collectively, do an act of giving - could be donating their money, time or goods. Last year 60,00,000+ Indians across the country participated. Daan Utsav is NOT an NGO or organisation. It is a movement. It has no employees and all activities are driven by passionate and committed volunteers who are keen to spread the message of giving. Anyone can be a volunteer and can do any giving activity in their home, community or office.
